With the ACT in lockdown during Book Week 2021, the educators at our Currawong Early Childhood Service decided to bring the celebrations to children at home!
Each day during Book Week, the team posted a video of an educator reading a story on OWNA, the app we use to inform parents of happenings within our services. This was a way to keep families and children engaged even though they’re not currently attending the service. It also helps families keep the children occupied and continuing their learning journeys.
With excellent feedback from families, the Currawong team plans to continue this series with educators sharing simple art and craft and science experiments that can be done at home.
