Conder kids learn about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander storytelling

Our Early Childhood Services are committed to Reconciliation and work to embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural knowledge and understanding into their everyday practices.

Over the last few weeks, the preschool room at our Conder Early Childhood Service has been exploring ways to broaden the children’s knowledge of what life is like as an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander person.

This included the Educators showing the children how Aboriginal peoples told stories through symbolism, and the children using them to paint their own stories.
