The children at Conder Early Childhood Service recently observed Eid-al-Fitr, the Muslim celebration at the end of Ramadan, the holy month of fasting. The morning was spent decorating and blowing up balloons, then the children had fun dressing up in traditional outfits and singing and dancing.
The children and educators had the opportunity to have their hands decorated with henna patterns and loved having a go at making some of their own patterns.
An Eid celebration would not be complete without food, so the team had a special afternoon tea for children and families, with yummy gulab jamun and samosas.
It was lovely to celebrate Eid with the children and families at Conder, and to share diverse cultures with the Conder ECS community.
