On 29 April, educators and children at our Winyu Early Childhood Service celebrated Holi Festival. A Hindu festival traditionally celebrated in India and Nepal, Holi is all about new beginnings and appreciation of diverse cultural practices. It is traditionally associated with lots of colours!
Holi is also called the “festival of love” as, on this day, people get to unite together forgetting all resentments and all types of bad feelings towards each other.
At our Winyu service, we invited families to join this event, so we all get colourful together and show our appreciation for diverse cultures.
Children were invited to wear white t-shirts, but they didn’t stay clean for long as we all celebrated in the many colours. Some of the children were very enthusiastic about getting messy part of the festival!
