NAIDOC Week
This year we celebrated NAIDOC Week with various activities and experiences for children to engage in. We explored Indigenous literature, music, dance and arts.
We partnered with the YWCA Charles Conder School Holiday Program, allowing the older children to visit our centre and participate in the celebrations. Together we explored Indigenous art & craft experiences.
The older children also practised their reading skills by reading Dreamtime stories to the younger children. It was a fantastic opportunity for our children to interact, learn and play with older children.
Holiday program
At the end of term 2, we started our two-week holiday program, where the children participated in many interesting and engaging activities. We enjoyed face painting, dressing up, painting and playing with our friends.
Yoga day was a huge favourite, with most of the children asking to repeat the activity days after the experience.
