On Friday, 19 March, children and educators in Conder Early Childhood Service came together to celebrate Harmony Day.
In the Sky room, they celebrated by creating a visually enchanting ‘Harmony tree’ with their handprints. Children chose their favourite paints and decorated their handprints to show respect and care for friends in the room.
In the Earth room, educators and children dressed in shades of orange to represent Harmony. Children engaged in drawing and used orange and yellow papers to make crowns and necklaces, and got involved with some traditional cultural outfits.
Over in the Water room, educators passionately shared stories about their culture and painted flags. Children created pyramids and made crowns for the celebration day.
